This leader/fly system has been proven on perch and striped bass, all along the coastal beaches, in Monterey Bay. Since striped bass, and perch, are on the beach about the same time of year, it is good to target both species at the same time! The droppers are only about 8″ long, and do not tangle, while fishing. The dropper flies are Sand Crab flies, found on my website (Olive or Red), and are tied on EC 413, 60 deg jig hooks.
This leader system includes:
- 2 Sand Crab flies, for perch, striped bass, halibut, etc.
- 1 Floating Minnow fly, for stripered bass, halibut, etc.
